Packaging Design
The team at Artifact Uprising quickly realized that there was a need for full-time focus on the strategy and design of our physical products moving forward. I was charged with creating all of the new products from ideation and iteration to final prototypes and packaging.
Below are some of my favorite physical products designed while in this role.

Wood & Brass Display Box
The Everyday Print photos were a bread and butter product for Artifact Uprising, but the one gripe we kept hearing from customers is there wasn’t any great way to display and store their dozens of prints. The paper prototype for this box lived on my desk for two years until we were able to fully realize it in physical form. This product has been featured in a number of publications such as Martha Stewart Living (see right).

Holiday Cards ‘15-‘17
These are a handful of my favorite holiday cards designed during my years at Artifact Uprising. From new form factors to foil pressed beauties this was a fun area to push creative boundaries for the brand and test out new ideas as trends evolved. View all holiday card designs here.
Walnut Photo Ledge
Simple profile, smart design. With the rise of walnut being featured in interiors we took this stunning wood and created a sleek photo display that makes it easy to swap out photos as life changes.
Brass Easel Calendar
Born in those early moments of a lucid dream, our team was trying to resolve this calendar design when the form came to me. Two interlocking pieces of brass create a simple silhouette that’s sure to elevate any desktop decor.
Float Frame
Contemporary and minimal, this frame became a favorite for customers looking for new ways to display their photos. The frame tends to disappear against a wall, leaving the image as the focus with a touch of our oh-so-favorite brass detailing.
Stationary Card Set
Born out of a disdain for cheesy last-minute pharmacy cards, these stationary cards are sprinkled with simple sayings from “To great beginnings” to “You’re my favorite” that can be used for an array of occasions.
Cork & Brass Print Stand
Using sustainable materials with a story was always a goal of new products and this was our first foray into cork. The brass bottom gives it weight and is the perfect understand display with a remarkable story. Custom packaging designed in-house.
Foil Wall Calendar
With the new year comes a sense of what can be and we wanted this calendar to support that. With the saying "Find gratitude in the great that awaits" pressed in copper foil and a space at the bottom to declare your year of __________, this turns into not only functional, but beautiful and encouraging wall decor.
Everyday Prints & Packaging
In deciding to expand size offerings for the Everyday Prints we also updated the packaging to create a more visually viral appeal. Labeled with the word "PHOTOGRAPHS", this packaging has become a social media darling and is often slipped into photographs by the community. This design was recently translated to a mailer for smaller print quantities that helped to cut down on costs, but still give the same visual impact.
Thank You Cards
From weddings to birthdays to those just-because moments, nothing says "I appreciate you" like a thank you card. Each design leaves room for a personal photo along with a handwritten message. From bold to understand, there's a design for everyone. View all thank you card designs here.
Wedding Suites & Envelopes
The most involved print project during my time at Artifact Uprising, these wedding collections bridge the gap of inexpensive standard options and pricey custom designs. They're heavy on details and each is given a distinct look using carefully chosen typefaces and color palettes. View all wedding suite designs here.
